What a way to close out an incredible Rotary year!
Yesterday’s meeting was filled with celebration, gratitude, and excitement for what’s ahead.
🎉 We began by recognizing the tremendous impact our club has made throughout the year and honoring Barry as our 2025–2026 Rotarian of the Year. Among many deserving nominees, Barry was selected for his outstanding leadership with our Pancake Breakfast and Golf Tournament, his exceptional attendance, and his unwavering commitment to serving others. Congratulations, Barry you’ve truly earned this recognition!
🎓 We were then inspired by Dr. Dr. Jennifer M. Miles serves as the Executive Director of the University of Memphis Lambuth campus University of Memphis Lambuth, who shared exciting updates about the campus and its bright future. Hearing reflections from alumni of both Lambuth University and Memphis State University made the presentation even more meaningful and reminded us of the lasting impact higher education has on our communities.
🔔 Finally, our assistant District Governor guided us through a new beginning with passing of the gavel from Mark Cancia to Larry Lisak and welcoming our 2026–2027 Board of Directors.
To every Rotarian, community partner, and friend who has supported our mission this year, thank you. Your generosity, leadership, and heart for service continue to make our community stronger.
