Women are active participants in Rotary, serving their communities in increasing numbers and serving in leadership positions in Rotary. The 1989 Council on Legislation vote to admit women into Rotary clubs worldwide remains a watershed moment in the history of Rotary. We want to invite fellow female Rotarians, and prospective female leaders in our communities to come and celebrate our history and learn more about what it is to put service above self – the Rotarian way.

The purpose of the Women in Rotary Tea Party is to provide a gathering place for women members and nonmembers in the West TN District of 6760 to build and deepen relationships. Relationships with each other and other service-minded female leaders in our community. By like-minded, we mean the Rotarian way: “Service above Self” after all it is our motto and the true draw to Rotary for many club members. Therefore, we couldn’t just gather together and socialize for the fun of it (although we will do just that) we will also put all monies raised together and pack hygiene bags for girls in our local communities – walking away from our tea party empowering girls across West TN.
