The Jackson – Old Hickory Rotary Club truly puts our “Service Above Self” motto into action by serving our community in a number of ways. One notable project that the community supports and serves along with us is the Rotary Heart and Sole project. We are also proud supporters of the Imagination Library and fully fund an entire month of books for every Imagination Library recipient in Madison County. We monetarily support these projects and many others through a few fundraisers throughout the year. 100% of the funds we raise go back into our local community, national disaster relief efforts or International service projects voted on by the Board of Directors.

Want to be a part of a club that is striving to do good in the local community and the world? Join us! Be a part of our leadership. Help plan our next meeting, fundraiser, or project – we need you!

“I lift up my eyes to the mountains…” This week’s Rotary meeting was nothing short of inspiring as we welcomed Dr. Dennis “Preacher” Renshaw, author of Footprints on the Mountains, who shared stories from his life-changing journey hiking the Appalachian Trail, from Georgia to Maine. With humor, heart, and a healthy dose of trail wisdom, Dr. Renshaw reminded us how volunteerism keeps the 2,200-mile path alive and thriving; just like the mission of Rotary. His frequent reference to Psalm 121:1, “I lift up my eyes to the hills, where does my help come from?” struck a chord with our service-minded members who know that sometimes the climb is the calling. We left encouraged to keep making our own footprints on mountains, in our communities, and in the lives of others. Join us at our next meeting on Monday, 12pm at the double tree hotel. #ServiceAboveSelf #RotaryClub #TrailWisdom #AppalachianTrail #Psalm121 #RotaryJacksonTN

The #1 Reason to Choose Jackson-Madison County General Hospital? Because everyone matters. At the heart of our healthcare system is a deep commitment to serve all people, regardless of their circumstances. Today’s Rotary Club meeting featured a fantastic presentation from Tina Prescott, President of West Tennessee Healthcare. She shared insights into the mission, vision, and regional impact of WTHC which couldn’t have come at a more meaningful time. The Mission: To improve the health and well-being of the communities we serve while providing exceptional and compassionate care. The Vision: To be chosen by our team, our physicians, and our community as the best place to work, the best place to practice, and the best place to receive comprehensive care. It’s clear that the mission, vision and strategic priorities of our local healthcare system are rooted in compassion, access, and community. We’re grateful for leaders like Tina, who care about West Tennessee and the people who call it home. #JMCHDistrict #WestTennesseeHealthcare #RotaryClub #CommunityCare #LeadershipInAction
